01.22.2021.05 My Sean Connery Dream

It was October 28th, 2020. I had worked late that night on editing a script, and had fallen asleep with my MacBook still on my lap. I often have vivid dreams, but this dream felt like it was more of a vision into the future in more ways than one. I remember bits and pieces of it, like being on a train that was more like a magnetic dome glass bubble with seats attached via cords that came down from the ceiling on a swivel where the seats would glide at every turn like those hanging seats from the 1970s. In this dream, everyone had a glass tray table and what looked like a holographic keyboard that would actually click as it typed onto the screen below it. As I was typing in this dream, I had the thought that I should totally patent this shit, and I convinced myself that I would remember every detail when I woke. As I was about to turn off the table, someone to my far left seated diagonally behind me called my name. They had a very strong Scottish accent and a warm welcoming aura that seemed familiar to me. I turned my seat to the left to face them, and it was Sean Connery. He was smiling and thanking me for watching his films for my entire life and for my support of his work. We had what felt like a 20 minute conversation, and afterwards I turned back around towards the front of the train. As I opened my tablet again to start typing, I legit felt someone put their arm around me and lean in toward my left ear as they said “I hate how they pronounce my name wrong. It’s said “Connry” not “Connery”” with a very strong Scottish accent, “I wanted to thank you again because my time here is running out. But don’t be sad, I’m forever at peace.” Just then I woke to the sound of the rain on the window. A few days later on Halloween, he was really gone. I’ve never met him in person before, but I felt connected to him somehow. Who knows, he could be some distant relative. All I know, is he legit told me in that dream that he was leaving. I’ve never told anyone about that dream before now. Remember it’s said Connry and not Connery!
